Rose Ann Lackey

Rose Ann Lackey was born on November 2, 1942 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Thomas and Virginia Grzych. Rose Ann resided in Dearborn, Michigan, she passed away on March 11, 2024 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of Thomas Lackey. Loving mother of Tom (Kerri) Lackey, Tim (Becky) Lackey and Todd (Susan) Lackey. Dearest grandmother of Dane, Ava, Morgen, Sarah, Grace, Anthony and Cameron. She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Grzych. Rose Ann will be deeply missed by family and friends. Some of Rose Ann's (Busia's) favorite activities were spending time with all her grandchildren during holidays, birthdays, special life events, cottage, and dancing with them at local Polish festivals. She also enjoyed annual camping trips throughout the state when her children were young and more recently with her grandchildren. She loved them so much. She also was very active with the PRCUA Tatry dancers out of Dearborn Heights for over 45 years, 31 of those as the director. She will be truly missed by all and leaves a hole in so many lives that will never be filled especially her husband Tom of 56 years. Visitation Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 2:00- 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary 6:00 p.m. at the Dearborn Chapel of Voran Funeral Home, 23701 Ford Road. (313) 278-5100. In state Friday 9:30 a.m. with a 10:00 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection to follow at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 17650 W. Outer Drive, Dearborn Heights. Interment St. Hedwig Cemetery.
