Rose’s life began on June 4, 1945, in Hillsboro, KS. She was the daughter of Fred Henry and Rosamund Francis (Mouttet) Mau. Rose was a 1963 graduate of Herington High School. Rose lived overseas in Germany in the towns of Butzbach and Aschaffenburg, Germany and moved back to the states living in Kileen, TX and St. Joseph, LA before coming back to Herington in 1979. She was very interested and supportive of Native American causes and a supporter of the St. Joseph Indian School. Rose is survived by her son Jimmy Lee and his wife Therese Lee of Hope. She passed away on Thursday July 3, 2025, at Homestead of El Dorado Assisted Living. Rose is preceded in death by her parents. Friends and family will gather on Saturday July 19, 2025, at 2 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington for her graveside service. Yazel Megli Funeral Home is assisting the family.
