Fairview Heights, Illinois - Rose Ellen Nersesian, age 71, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on September 21, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2025.

Rose was a 1971 graduate of St. Teresa's Academy, former management information officer with Dillard's Midwest Division Buying Office in St. Louis, MO, then later worked for Nygard International as a retail analyst. Rose was very active in her church as former parish council chairperson and diocesan delegate. She worked tirelessly on many church committees, especially the Woman's Guild, where she served as chairperson.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Apkar and Helen, nee Boharian Nersesian; her brother, Samuel W. Nersesian, and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She is survived by her sister, Doreen Nersesian (Mars Eghigian, Jr.) of Fairview Heights, IL, and her brother, Paul (Michelle) Nersesian; her beloved niece, Olivia Grace Nersesian; her goddaughter, Sara (Alex) Lakin; her family by marriage, John & Esther Staub, Sr., of Fairview Heights, IL; her bonus niece, Diana Mkrtchyan; her loving cousins, extended family, friends and her good boy, Zeus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are preferred to Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd., Fairview Heights, IL.

Visitation will also be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church, 400 Huntwood Rd., Swansea, IL.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Virgin Mary and Shoghagat Armenian Church, 400 Huntwood Rd., Swansea, IL., with Rev. Fr. Voskan Hovhannisyan officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Belleville, IL.
