Rose Marie Parsons, 83, passed away on 24, October 2024 at Mansfield Medical Lodge in Mansfield, TX. She was born on July 17, 1941, in Avon, Mississippi to Wick and Marie Boutwell Ray.
Rose grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. She attended Green B. Trimble Technical High School in Fort Worth, Texas. After high school she began working as a housekeeper for Nursing Homes and various Hotels.
Rose married Bobbie Joe Parsons in 1958 in Ardmore, OK. They were happily married for 57 years. Rose loved being a wife and mother to her four children. She also enjoyed bowling with friends.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Joe Parsons Sr., daughter Deborah Parsons, parents Wick and Marie Ray, brother Wick Eddie Ray, Jr., sister Ann Davis, and brother Jackie Ray.
Rose is survived by her daughter Nell (Terry) Upton, of Grandbury, TX, son Bobbie Joe Jr. (Dawn) Parsons of Alvarado, TX and son Johnny (Kim) Parsons of Mansfield TX, her brothers David Ray, Pete (Carolyn) Ray, sister Ellen Thorpe, best friend of 70 years Jeannie (Billy) Roberts, her 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park 500 Kennedale Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX 76060 at 6:00 - 8:00 PM, October 29, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Central Baptist Church 700 N Walnut Creek Dr., Mansfield, TX 76063 at 11:00 AM, October 30, 2024. The burial will follow at Emerald Hills Funeral Home and Memorial Park.
