Rose Mary Rivera, age 66, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2026. She was born on March 27, 1959, to Julian and Cynthia Baquera, in El Paso, Texas.

Rose married the love of her life, Mike Rivera, on February 20, 1982, in Lawton, Oklahoma. Together they built a life rooted in love, family, and faith, making their home in Coleman, Oklahoma. Rose was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She spent 25 years working at Domino's Pizza before later becoming a beloved lunch lady at Coleman School and Camp Bond, where she was known for her warm smile and caring heart. She was a faithful member of Midway Church. Rose loved the outdoors and cherished time spent with her husband, children, and especially her grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her love into every gathering, conversation, and moment together.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Cynthia Ann Baquera; her father, Julian Ramirez Baquera; and her brother, Andrew Baquera.

Rose is survived by her loving husband, Mike Valdez Rivera; her children, Chris and Mary Rivera, Rosanna Rivera-White, Jessica and Tony Gibson, Mike Rivera Jr., John Rivera, Monty and Ashley Rivera, Lollie and Cole Stanley, Adam Rivera, Eli Rivera, and Nevaeh Rivera; her sisters, Julie Jefferson and Cynthia Molina; her grandchildren, Jacob White, Alera Rivera, Jayton White, Ariana Gibson-Rivera, Mike Gibson-Rivera, Josh Rivera, Maurissa Gibson, Madison Rivera, Natalie Gibson, Emarie Rivera, Mila Rivera, and Tate Rivera; and four great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.

Family hour will be held on Sunday, February 8, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rose's life at Brown's Funeral Service in Durant, Oklahoma, on Monday, February 9, at 2:00 P.M., with Minister Sam Vaughn officiating.

Burial will follow at Coleman Cemetery in Coleman, Oklahoma with Jacob White, Jayton White, Mike Gibson-Rivera, Josh Rivera, Julian Baquera, and Jaylen Niedo serving as pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearer is Tate Rivera.

Rose Mary Rivera will be remembered for her kind heart, strong work ethic, deep faith, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Services are under the direction of Brown's Durant Funeral and Cremation Services.
