Rose Marie Smith, 85, passed away on Tuesday September 9, 2025. Rose was born on July 10, 1940, in Springfield, Illinois to Paul B. and Charlotte (Wantland) Schroeder.
Rose was a woman of strong faith. She was a longtime active member of Cornerstone Church in Madison, Tennessee. She was involved in many Bible study groups, was an avid reader especially the Bible, and had an intense love for her family.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents, sons Robert Medley and Scott Medley, and her brother Paul “Buster” Schroeder. She is survived by her daughters Vicki (Ron) Baker, and Paula Medley; brother Russ (Candy) Schroeder; her grandchildren Shanda (Rick) Schonemann, Zachary Baker, Joe Baker, and Joe Medley. In addition, she is survived by her great-grandchildren Claire, Briar, Zachary, Jr., Abby, River, and Mazlynn.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 1:30pm-2pm at Cornerstone Church in Madison. A memorial service will follow at 2pm.
