Rose Tobie, also known as Majorie or Mrs. Sixteen, a cherished wife, mother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on November 30, 2024. Born in St. Lucia. Mrs. Majorie embodied unwavering faith and grace, living as a devoted Woman of God, whose life was rich with love, laughter, and joy. Married to her surviving spouse, Dorcus for 30 years, they shared a love like no other. A loving wife and nurturing mother, Mrs. Majorie cultivated a home brimming with warmth, kindness, and endless love. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she selflessly devoted herself to them with boundless generosity and care.
Mrs. Majorie was also an avid traveler, having explored various corners of the globe, from the serene landscapes of Canada to the vibrant streets of London, the tropical beaches of the Bahamas, St. Martinique, and Trinidad, as well as the peaceful Virgin Islands and the bustling energy of New York, Las Vegas, and beyond. She cherished the joy of experiencing diverse cultures and created lasting memories with her loved one during her journeys.
Her zest for life extended beyond travel; she possessed a deep passion for singing and dancing. Her laughter was infectious, and her presence illuminated any room she entered. Mrs. Majorie was a radiant soul whose enthusiasm for life was a testament to the love she bestowed upon others. A true woman of God, her wisdom, strength, and compassion profoundly impacted all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her vibrant spirit and beatiful heart reflected the depth of her soul. She leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength, and her memory will forever reside in the hearts of those she touched. May she rest in eternal peace.
Mrs. Majorie is survived by her husband, Dorcus Tobie; her children; Jermain Tobie, Vernan Tobie, Sarah Tobie, and Sheynique Liberte (O'Neal Liberte); Grandchildren: Jamela Tobie, Jamena Tobie, Jahliyah Tobie, Jahnyce Tobie, Katia Paul, Michel Brown, Michaelah Brown, Jernia Tobie, Vanieyah Tobie, Kara Slaughter, Jayda Tobie-Liberte (deceased), Kali Tobie; Great- grandchildren: Jah'Layla Maurepas and Ja'Nyiah Germain; along with her brothers, a sister, in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
