Rose Tuttle

This week Aunt Rose went home.
She has taken her first airplane trip back to Pittsburgh after spending 6 years as a Southern Belle.
She went home to be with her husband Ron who she was married to for just shy of 60 years.
Home to parents, siblings, and friends who preceded her trip to heaven by decades.
Aunt Rose was a delight to be with, sweet in disposition, intelligent of mind, and stubborn of will.
Michelle and I were blessed to have her with us for just shy of 6 years.
She didn't have children of her own but I considered her and Uncle Ron as second parents and maintained close contact my entire life.
By her living with us she got the joy of a very active house with Dogs, Cats, Kids and Grandkids interacting almost daily.
Michelle, the critters, and Rowan would have Soup and Soaps almost daily with Aunt Rose, after introducing her to Krispy Kreme Donuts, it became her most requested treat.
Aunt Rose had many favorite things, her daily apple sauce, morning cinnamon bread toast, Coffee for breakfast, tea with milk for lunch and dinner.
Thursday night spaghetti dinners, Lawrence Welk on Saturday night and Catholic Mass T.V. on Sunday.
But her favorite was her royal blue soft velour robe adorned with roses that she wanted to be buried in.
We learned many interesting things about family, friends, and life in the 40s through 90s.
Rose was a product of the depression being born in the late 1920s. She was born to a Nationalized U.S. Citizen Father from Poland and first generation Mother of Immigrant Parents also from Poland.
Aunt Rose will be reunited in body with her beloved husband Ron on Tuesday April 2nd at 12:30 at the National Cemetary of the Alleghenies pavilion.
We will all miss her and have many fond memories of her.
