Rose Marie De Ciccio Urtnowski

07/21/1971-07/17/2018

Rose Marie DeCicco, known as "Rosie" to many, passed away on July 17th 2018, just a few days shy of her 47th birthday. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loved ones. She passed after a courageous and hard fought, five year battle with breast cancer.

Rose Marie was born July 21st, 1971 in the Bronx, NY to Pasquale and Paola DeCicco. On March 15, 2009, she married her true love, Raymond Urtnowski.

Rose Marie was full of life! If you ever found yourself around the 5 foot, Italian beauty, you knew you were down for a most memorable time! She always had a smile on her face and had such spunk! She was beautiful, strong, hardworking, and full of hustle! She had an unforgettable personality. Those who knew her, loved her. She always left a lasting impression to the many people she met along her journey! From where she grew up in the Bronx to her move out to Long Island to eventually where she finally found peace and comfort in her home in Clearwater, Florida. Rose Marie had an innate need to help all. She fed and nurtured many people in the neighborhood and at work. She took in stray animals that didn't have a home. Despite having little to give, she gave her absolute all.

Her most fulfilling job came in 2012, when Rose Marie began to work at Ladies First Choice. There she became a Board-Certified Mastectomy Fitter. She spent many days at the homes of Breast Cancer patients, not only providing personalized fittings for women suffering with cancer, but she touched their hearts by befriending them and helping them forget their pain during their most difficult times. While working at Ladies First, Rosie herself was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. However, that didn't stop her! She continued to work and do all she could to continue putting smiles on their faces, despite her own pain and her treatment. Once she was in remission, she continued to work at Ladies First to provide these ladies a positive experience and always maintained a wonderful sense of humor.

Rosie loved the beach, the sun, tag sales, ebay and her many cats! She also spent her good days making jewelry - always passing along her creations to her friends and family. Throughout her entire ordeal with Breast Cancer, Rosie was upbeat and determined to kick cancer to the curb! If you spoke to Rosie, you would leave feeling amazed at the strength she displayed and her positive attitude! She consoled, hugged and loved you and never once asked for it in return. After a short time in remission, her cancer came back with a vengeance and took a lot out of her. She fought a good fight and despite it all, she never gave up hope. Even in the end, she found ways to make jokes and just laugh.

Rose Marie will be forever remembered by her loving and devoted husband, Ray, her parents, Pasquale & Paola DeCicco, her brother, Pasquale Jr. and her many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. Despite the distance from her move to Florida, everyone loved her and will miss her tremendously!
