Rose Marie Velasquez

Rose Marie Velasquez, 73, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2025. She was born on June 22, 1952 to Rose and Fermin Roybal in San Luis, Colorado.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Rose Manzanares and Fermin Roybal; sisters, Alice Bishop, Betty Pruitt, Patsy Roybal; and brother, Rudy Roybal.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Eric Velasquez, Lukas Velasquez, Gabriel Velasquez; daughter, Julie Velasquez; sisters, Carol Torres, Darlene (Max) Sims, Shirley (Juan) Sanchez, 4 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
On March 18, 1973 in Center, CO, Rose married the love of her life Lloyd Elijio Velasquez. That is where she started her lifelong devotion as a caretaker for her family and friends. She loved being outdoors tending to her yard, garden, and flowers. She kept her home immaculate and filled with the wonderful smells of her cooking. She was one the best cooks you would ever meet.
Rose was a devout woman of faith and belief in God. She gave 100% of herself to her family. She always spread her love as far as it could go. She took care of everyone. Even on her death bed, she reminded her loved ones to take care of one another.
Rose is now reunited with her parents and siblings. She will be deeply missed!
