Rosella “Rose” M. Schepp, 94, Wausau, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Wausau Manor.

She was born February 19, 1931 in St. Charles, Minnesota, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Braun) Johnson. On November 1, 1952, she married Gerald J. Schepp in Wausau. He preceded her in death on August 16, 2008.

Rose was a graduate of Wausau Senior High School. She began working at Prange’s in the furniture department when they first opened in Wausau. Rose enjoyed her job and continued working at the former (Prange’s/Younkers) for over 50 years until her retirement. Among her favorite pastimes, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, especially Sheepshead, polka dancing with her husband, Gerald, going to the Wisconsin Valley Fair and attending her son, Allen’s hockey games.

Survivors include, two daughters, Jamie (Thomas) Landwehr and Julie (Mark) Allar; daughter-in-law, Julie Schepp; seven grandchildren, Christopher Landwehr, Chad (Stacy) Landwehr, Heather Landwehr, Nicole Schindler, Brent Allar, Jennifer Trzybiatowski and Tara (Matthew) Christian; six great-grandchildren, Caleb, Austin, Adelyn, Evelyn, Reese and Grey; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Gerald, she was preceded in death by her son, Allen Schepp; and four siblings, Leonard (Janet) Johnson, William (Gladys) Johnson, Edward (Katherine) Johnson and Lucille Johnson.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wausau. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Visitation will be on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
