Private Interment will be in Perry Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Perry, 1101 Main Street,

Roselle was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Spinks and was born on January 28, 1927, in
Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Roselle led a full life. She married James Edward Davidson in 1945 and spent the rest of her life as a homemaker, continuously working to create a loving and friendly environment in which to raise her family. Together with her husband, Roselle operated Davidson's Grocery in Kathleen, daily greeting those loyal, local customers with her friendly conversation and beautiful smile. When the store closed, the family took a four-year hiatus from Georgia and went on an adventure in Australia before returning to Kathleen, their home. After the death of James Edward in 1982, Roselle spent many years doing what she enjoyed and did best – serving and caring for others. She spent much of her time volunteering as a Pink Lady at Perry Hospital and as a Senior Citizens Recreation Director at the Warner Robins Recreation Department altogether serving her community for over thirty years. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Perry and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. Roselle was also a proud member of a local Red Hat Society and loved hosting them at her home, along with other groups of friends and co-workers for Sunday School gatherings or Christmas parties. Roselle's hobbies could be stated in a few words: eating sweets, socializing, and working in the yard. Roselle was happiest and most content when surrounded by family and friends. She never met anyone who wasn't a friend, and her happy-go-lucky perspective on life was magnetic. She loved all and was loved by all in return. Her family and friends were what she lived for, and her only wish was that everyone be happy and love each other.
Roselle was preceded in death by her parents; her loving and devoted husband of thirty-seven years, James Edward Davidson; her brother, David Spinks; her sister, Mary Ann Spinks Shuman; a son, Jim Davidson; and a daughter, Sandra Davidson.
Left to cherish the memories they made with Roselle are her children, Tom Davidson (Lea) of Kathleen, John Davidson (Tamara) of Perry, and Cathy Davidson O' Tyson (Tony) of Augusta; her grandchildren, Scott Davidson, Josh Davidson (Haley), Shawn Davidson (Katie), Heather Davidson, Alicia Davidson, Ashley O'Tyson, Sara Ambrose (Austin), and Jessica Posey (Sam). Roselle considered herself blessed to have many nephews, nieces, and extended family, and loved and treated all of them as if they were her own children.
Condolences for the family may be left in the online guestbook at www.watsonhunt.com. Watson-Hunt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
