Rosellen Belle Weihe

Rosellen Belle Weihe, age 80, of Seymour, passed away on August 3, 2025, at Willow Crossing Health & Rehab in Columbus.

Born on June 1, 1945, in Seymour, Rosellen was the daughter of the late Ernest and Betty (Cartwright) Coryea.

A lifelong homemaker and farm wife, she dedicated her days to her family, her home, and the land she loved.

Rosellen grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work and simple joys. She married the love of her life, Wayne Weihe on October 11, 1964, and together they built a life centered around faith, family, and the farm. Her hands were rarely still-whether she was tending the garden, helping with chores, or sewing. If one was to meet her, you would never forget her contagious smile. Her generosity and kindness touched everyone she met, and she was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, no matter the circumstance.

She was animal lover at heart, and had a special fondness for cats, who always seemed to find their way to her lap. Friends and family remember her as a woman who truly "did it all," balancing the demands of farm life with warmth, humor, and endless love.

Rosellen is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Weihe; daughters, Lori Kindred (Jeff) and Beth Hamilton (Jason); son, Scott Weihe; grandchildren, Dylan Weihe (Alayna), Spencer Kindred (Abbie) and Arielle Hamilton; great-grandchildren, Dean Kindred, Berkleigh Weihe, Collin Weihe and Baby Kindred on the way; brothers, Ernest Coryea (Pam) and Ralph Coryea; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandson, Joseph Hamilton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Voss and Sons Funeral and Cremation, 316 N Chestnut Street, Seymour. A second visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 10:00 A.M. until service time at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 605 South Walnut Street, Seymour. Rev. Dr. Ralph Blomenberg, Rev. Philip Bloch, Rev. James Rodriguez, and Rev. William Fredstrom will officiate. Services honoring Rosellen's life and legacy will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 8, 2025 with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, 160 Shields Avenue, Seymour.

Memorial contributions in Rosellen's honor may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, or to the donor's choice.
