Rosemary Ruth Ferguson, age 85, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away on October 3, 2025. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Donald Ferguson, and two brothers, Russell and Robert. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith through her children (and their spouses): Don (Louise) Ferguson, Renee (Matt) Pogue, Darrell (Tracy) Ferguson, Carolyn (David) McLaughlin, Danelle (Andrew) White, and Cathy Randall; her sister, Jan (Don) Burris; seventeen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Rosemary was born on January 12, 1940, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She married her high school sweetheart and beloved husband, Donald Ferguson, on June 21, 1958. Together they moved to Boulder, Colorado, where they built a life rich in love, faith, and adventure. Whether skydiving, hunting, rafting rivers, or riding motorcycles through the mountains, Rosemary embraced life with courage and joy. Her greatest adventure, though, was being a mother to six children whom she loved deeply and served so willingly. She loved babies and children and spent 70 years of her life caring for and ministering to them in every way, including teaching Sunday school, home day care, and writing children's stories and lessons. She was known for her gentle spirit, joyful heart, generosity, and unwavering trust in God. Her faith was the foundation of her life and a legacy she passed down to her family.
Rosemary's faith was unshakable and the cornerstone of her life. She had a calm and peaceful spirit, rarely worrying, always trusting that God was in control.
Rosemary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at Grace Bible Church, 1225 Ken Pratt Blvd, Suite 211, Longmont, CO 80501 (Sherman Village Center).
In lieu of flowers, Rosemary would have appreciated contributions to her favored missions, reflecting her passion for faith and helping the needy, including The Voice of the Martyrs and The Jesus Film Project.
