Rosemary (Rose) Kiger, 79, of Darlington, IN passed away at Franciscan East Hospital in Lafayette 2:45 AM Thursday March 20, 2025. She had been a patient there for three days and in failing health for the past several years. Rosemary was born at home near Darlington September 24,1945 to the late Eddie Lee and Dollie Marie (Zachary) Newlin and attended Darlington, IN schools. She married Marion L. Kiger in Crawfordsville, IN February 5, 1981 and he preceded her in death April 30, 2022. Rosemary farmed with her husband for over 30 years before retiring. She was a member of Calvary Church in Crawfordsville, IN. Surviving is a daughter, Belinda Kiger of Linden along with three grandchildren, Amy Malelo, Cary Brock and Kyle Kiger; five great-grandchildren, Kiera, Angie and Kaydence Brock, Charlie and Xander Malelo and a great-great-granddaughter, Dallas Brock. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, John Alan Kiger, a daughter, Debra Griffin; five brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Harold, Jerry and Larry Newlin; and by three sisters, Betty Stonebraker, Doris Newlin and Diane Dagley.
Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden from 10:00 AM until the service at 11:00 AM Thursday March 27, Pastor Dave Keesee officiating. The interment will follow in Linden Cemetery.
