ROSETTA (IULA) BARRY – of Dennisport, formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, with her family by her side, at the age of 69.

Beloved wife of 49 years to John Barry. Cherished mother of Chris Barry and his wife Nicole of Lawrence, and Lauren Annarelli and her husband Jay of Andover. Proud and loving grandmother of Charlee, Michaela, and Hailey. Dear sister of Ann Marie Hartford and her husband Mike of Bradford, formerly of Reading. Loving aunt of Brian and Kimberly Hartford. Devoted daughter of the late Michael and Maria L. (Capodilupo) Iula.

Rosetta was born in Charleroi, Belgium, and came to the United States with her family at four. She grew up in Woburn, MA, graduated from Woburn High School (Class of 1974), and went on to earn her degree from Bay State College. She raised her family in Reading, MA, and later enjoyed spending winters in Venice, Florida, and summers on Cape Cod.

Being a mother was Rosetta's greatest joy and most treasured role. She poured her heart into raising her children with love, strength, and unwavering support. She was their biggest cheerleader, fiercest protector, and most trusted confidante. Rosetta was the steady center of her family's world. Her love extended naturally to her three granddaughters, who brought her endless pride and happiness, and to her beloved granddogs, who were never far from her side.

She found peace and joy at the beach, especially chasing sunsets - a quiet moment of beauty she deeply cherished. The ocean was her happy place, where she felt most at ease, surrounded by the natural beauty she loved and the family she adored.

Rosetta was the epitome of a warrior. She courageously fought cancer for over 20 years, meeting every challenge with grace, grit, and an unshakable spirit. She never let her illness define her - instead, she chose to live fully, love fiercely, and remain strong for the people she held closest.

Rosetta's warmth, compassion, and strength touched all who knew her. She was deeply loved by her many friends and extended family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Rosetta's Funeral Mass will be held in St. Charles Church, 260 Main Street, Woburn, on Wednesday, October 8th at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Calling hours in the Lynch-Cantillon Funeral Home, 263 Main Street, Woburn, on Tuesday, October 7th from 4 – 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in Rosetta's memory to Angel Flight Northeast at www.angelflightne.org or by mail to Angel Flight NE, 492 Sutton St, North Andover, MA 01845, (978) 794-6868.
