Rosetta Mazzotta Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Monti-Rago Funeral Home, Inc. on Sep. 20, 2024.
Rosetta (nee Gerace) Mazzotta passed away surrounded by her family at the age of 74 on Sept 18th, 2024. She was a devoted wife, mother, and nonna. Rosetta moved to Philadelphia from her hometown of Montauro, Italy in 1966. She was very proud of her Italian heritage and instilled her traditions within her children and grandchildren. Rosetta's home was always filled with love, laughter, and food. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, baking, and gardening. Rosetta also loved summer barbecues and watching her Italian soap operas. She was a dedicated employee of Ippolito's Seafood for over 35 years, and was loved and admired by all of her co-workers. Rosetta was extremely generous, selfless, and loving. Her smile warmed everyone who was lucky enough to meet her. She was the type of person that made you feel like part of the family and you just wanted to be around her more. Her legacy and traditions will carry on through her family, who will miss her tremendously. Rosetta was the beloved wife of Vincent Mazzotta. Loving mother of Marisa (Dave) Rutolo, Anna (Joe) Montanaro, and Salvatore (Mollie) Mazzotta. Nonna of Rosa, Alyssa, Sophia, David, Joseph, Salvatore, and Evangelina. Sister of Raffaela, Maria, Concetta, and the late Vince. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to her VIEWING Tuesday September 24, 2024 9am at The Church of St. Monica 17th and Ritner Sts. Followed by her mass at 10am. Ent. S.S. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to The Church of St. Monica.
