Rosetta McMillan, 80, of Blue Ridge, Virginia, passed away peacefully om May 23, 2025. She was born on November 25, 1944, to the late Jeff McMillan and Vera Johnson in Tallahassee, Florida.
In addition to her parents, Rosetta was preceded in death by children, Earl Lee, Frank Lee, Verstine, Melissa, Maranda, Tamika, Jaellendean, Duwayne, Albertina, Beth, and three still born babies; siblings, RJ, Agnes, Canary, Jeff, Willie B, Henry Lee, Laura, Virginia and Barbara Ann and Larry; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A true warrior in every sense of the word. Known for her incredible strength, resilience, and work ethic. She stood firm, unshaken and unapologetically herself; truly a force to be reckoned with. Rosetta was born into a large family and continued the family tradition by creating a large family of her own, giving birth to twenty-one children. The love she shared with and for her family was unmatched. Her heart of giving extended to all who knew her. Throughout her life, she experienced many trials, tribulations, and hardships, and could be slightly cold-hearted and stubborn, at times. She still managed to leave lasting impressions of love, strength, and endurance on everyone she encountered. Her legacy of love, reliance, and strength will continue through her children, family, and friends. She will forever be missed and remembered.
Rosetta leaves to cherish precious memories her ex-husband, Alexander Clifford; children, Earth (Stephanie), Isaac, Vera, Ellen, Verstine, Larouna, Rose Mae, Darren (Lacey), Rodney, Brittany, Lamille, Jr. (Jaime), siblings, Marvin, David, Hattie, Pat, Wanda, Michael, Franklin, Margaret Ann, Mary, Joe, Wallace, Willie C, Patricia and Annette; and a host of grand-children and great-grandchildren.
Service will be held at a later date and will be announced once finalized.
