Rosetta Edwards Thomas, age 90, longtime former resident of Columbia, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at Adams Place Rehab Care in Murfreesboro.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 12:30 PM at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home.

Born November 17, 1934 in Mt Pleasant, TN, she was the daughter of the late Mack William Edwards and the late Mary Thompson Edwards Curry. Rosetta was a laboratory technician for Dr. Charles Hudson for 15 years, then worked at Centerstone Mental Health Center as a psychiatric nurse for 15+ years. She was an avid reader and in her free time volunteered at the Graymere Church of Christ Jail Ministry and Benevolent Program.
She is survived by her children, Martha (Jack) Whitmore of Murfreesboro, Jamie (James) Davis of Franklin, Dr. Mary (Max) Moss of Murfreesboro, Joel Thomas of Clarksville; grandchildren, Dr. Brooke (Ben) Gross, Brittany (Dale) Harding, Dr. Will (Betsy) Davis, Dr. Elizabeth (Sterling) Moss-Wall, Ryan Davis, Max “Tripp” L. (Annie) Moss, III, Dr. Jared Moss, Adonis (Emma) Thomas; seven great grandchildren; sister, Ann Edwards Price; special niece and nephew, Kim Burd, and Mike Watkins; special friends, Liz Click, Frances Compton, Carl Martin, and Racine Wilder.
In addition to her parents, Rosetta is preceeded in death by her former husband, James Franklin Thomas.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Ben Gross, Dale Harding, Dr. Will Davis, Ryan Davis, Tripp Moss, Dr. Jared Moss, Sterling Wall, and Emerson Burd. Honorary Pallbearers will be Adonis Thomas, and members of the Graymere Woman’s Bible Group.
