Rosie Nell (Proffitt) Crowe, 86, of Fountain Run, KY passed away Tuesday, September 13th, at Monroe County Medical Center.
Rosie was born in Monroe County, KY on July 10, 1936, a daughter of the late Amy (Kingery) and Eskel Proffitt.
She was a member of Gulley Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a farmer.
On July 10, 1954, she married William Cecil Crowe, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2015.
Rosie is survived by two daughters, Glenda Wilson, and husband, George of Gamaliel, KY; Lavonda Sneed, of Glasgow, KY; and a son, Dewayne Crowe, and wife, Teresa, of Glasgow, KY; three grandchildren, Casey Vibbert (Jeremy), Heather Shelton (Dewayne), Barton Wilson (Mailey); seven great grandchildren, Kaeleb Vibbert, Kaeden Vibbert, Emmory Shelton, Stella Jean Shelton, Ora Rose Shelton, Brantley Wilson, and Mason Wilson; step grandchild, Christal Bushong (James), step great grandchildren, Jacob Morehead and Stephen Morehead; step great-great granddaughter, Evelyn Morehead.
Other than her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Morris, Glen and Herbert Gene Proffitt, a son-in-law, Wayne Sneed.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 16th at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY. Burial to follow at Ebenezer Cemetery.
Visitation is Thursday, 4-9 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rosie's memory may be made to Ebenezer Cemetery.
