Rosie C. Ortega, of Hayden, AZ passed away at home surrounded by love on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. She had just turned 79 last month and celebrated with her group of friends whom she loved dearly. Rosie graduated Hayden High School in 1965.

Rosie was very faithful and pious to her Catholic Religion and served St. Joseph's Parish for decades in different roles. She visited the Hayden Senior Center daily and the Hayden Library on occasion. Rosie loved her exercise classes and even attended them twice daily sometimes. She loved attending grandparents' day with her grand and great grandchildren at school and many other of their performances and programs. She enjoyed impromptu picnics at the river.

She will be remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness and giving qualities. By those she helped raise, she will also be remembered by her loving sternness, but more importantly as a second mother figure. By all she will be remembered for her delicious recipes. She was preceded in death by her husband Homer D. Ortega, her parents, Gomecindo and Jesus Cruz, three sisters Josefina (Torres), Cecilia (Ordaz) and Carmen (Torres), three brothers Manuel, Edward and Ramon Cruz and her nephew Gregory Cruz. She is survived by ten stepchildren, her grandchildren Joel and Jesus David Ortega, Teresa Oropeza, Francisca Sosa, and A.J. Westrope, many nieces and nephews, many Godchildren, a couple of aunts, a large amount of cousins and her circle of friends.
