Rosie Robinson, 79, passed away on August 19, 2024, in Quinlan, TX.
She was born on November 19, 1944 in Sikeston, MO, daughter to the late Morris Proffer, Sr. and Marcia Luke Proffer.
Rosie is survived by her husband, Fred Allen Robinson of Mesquite, three sons: Kevin (Shawna) Robinson of Quinlan, Fred (Deanna) Robinson, Jr. of Arlington, and Kelly (Tonia Lanay) Robinson, of Forney, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Seibert Proffer and Morris Proffer, Jr., and three sisters, Marcia Proffer, Sylvia Frye, and Cinnatha Hyde.
After marrying Fred on June 6, 1968, she worked for many Dallas area technology companies. Rosie's greatest joy has always been her immense and enduring love for the Lord and her family - in particular her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also loved animals and traveling. She was a self-taught organist, and was also a motorcycle enthusiast. She enjoyed jig-saw puzzles and collecting dolls.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 5:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyvale, TX.
The service will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel in Sunnyvale, TX.
Burial will follow on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
