Ross Christopher Abram

Ross Abram, born on January 23, 2000, in Apple Valley, Minnesota, and most recently residing in Manhattan, New York, passed away December 5, 2024. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandfathers, Gene Jorgenson and Truman Abram. Ross is survived by his parents, Paul and Janell Abram; his brother, Ashton; his grandmothers, Leona Jorgenson and Catherine Abram; as well as loving aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends, and his partner, Yagizhan Yazar, the light of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at White Funeral Home (14560 Pennock Ave) in Apple Valley. A memorial visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
Ross graduated from Eastview High School, where he excelled academically and thrived in Debate and Extemporaneous Speaking, earning opportunities to compete at the national level. Offered admission to several prestigious universities, he ultimately chose the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics, Summa Cum Laude, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Portuguese, High Distinction. Ross published research examining health inequality and economic disparities across racial, ethnic, and gender lines.
Ross's love of academics and languages was matched by his passion for travel. He explored destinations across the United States and ventured abroad to London, Paris, Mexico City, Madrid, and Istanbul. A true foodie, he embraced each locale's cuisine and culture with curiosity and joy.
After a successful summer internship, Ross launched his career in New York City. He settled in Little Italy and worked as an Investment Banking Analyst before joining Churchill Asset Management as a Private Equity & Junior Capital Senior Analyst.
Ross will be remembered for his gentle spirit, kind heart, compassionate nature, and intelligence. His warmth, wisdom, and humor brought light into every interaction, and he enriched the lives of all who knew him. An extraordinary son, brother, friend, and partner, Ross's positive influence endures in the countless hearts he touched. The outpouring of love and support following his passing is a testament to the remarkable life he led, and his memory will continue to guide and uplift those who cherished him.
