Rowena M. Packard

Rowena 'Row' M. Packard, age 92 of Campbell, NY passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Steuben Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare while there for rehab.
Born on May 12, 1933 in Bath, NY, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Ruby (Silliman) Littell. Row was a 1950 graduate of Campbell Central School. She married Sidney B. Packard on June 27, 1953 at the United Methodist Church in Campbell. He predeceased her on March 9, 2018. Row served as the administrative secretary and as the district clerk for the Board of Education for 32 years before her retirement in 1995. During that time, she served under three superintendents.
Row was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church in Campbell and was active in their bible study group, adult Sunday school classes and choir - having sung for over 60 years. She was a lover of music, Hallmark channel movies, the NY Yankees and was an avid reader. Row's greatest joy came from her family - her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She always told them "Do the best you can - that's all anyone can ask of you."
Row is survived by her children: Jeffrey (Debra Smith) Packard of Phoenix, NY, Brian (Annie Haller) Packard of Saratoga Springs, NY, Christine (Dewaine) Aldrich of Bath, NY and Kathryn (Lon) Schmouder of Liberty, PA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sisters: Phyllis Martin of Bath, NY, Linda Littell of Endicott, NY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Row was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Lesley Packard.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Campbell Community Bible Church, 8516 Main St., Campbell, NY, Pastor Veronica Seeley officiating. Phillips Funeral Home, 17 W. Pulteney St., Corning has been entrusted with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rowenas name may be sent to the Campbell Community Bible Church, 8516 Main St., Campbell, NY 14821.
Rowena's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Brookdale and to her faithful visitor and friend, Lisa Ricalton who always brightened Row's day. Row was known for her positive attitude and was an inspiration to all those who knew her.
