Obituary of Roxann Marie Baker
Roxann was 66 when she passed away on November 14th, 2021 at home with Ervin by her side. She lost her six year battle with cervical cancer.
Born and raised in the North end of Tacoma, a Wilson Alumni. Roxann was born on March 12, 1955 to Ialene and Richard Russell. She was the eldest of five children.
Survived by her loving partner of 35 years, Ervin Imholt, siblings; Cindy Bergman, Jodi Deming, Randy Russell, Rick Russel, son Aaron baker, and grandson Bryce Baker. She was preceded in death by her daughter Brooke Baker.
Roaxann graduated from Wilsom High school in 1975 and was a volunteer candy striper periodically at Tacoma General Hospital joining the work force right out of high school. She loved working with her father at Globe Ticket in Tacoma where she worked for 17 years. Roxann had a fire in her spirit and love in her soul; she was a hard worker and enjoyed instilling good manners in children. One of her favorite things was to ask the children, "Where do manners take you?". They would answer "Places!". She encouraged many children to say please and thank you expressing the importance of manners. Roxann is dearly missed. She was a nurturing mother, a loving companion, a loyal friend. A solid, grounded lady. She was often the voice of reason. The world is a sadder place without her.
