Roxanna (Steiner) Williams

Feb 1, 1954 – Aug 26, 2025

Roxanna Williams (71) of Arkansas City, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Roxanna, affectionately known as Roxie, was born to Charlie and Charlene (Chaplin) Steiner. Roxie's loving spirit is carried on by her children, Michael Donaldson and Matthew McGuigan, grandchildren Bryson McGuigan and Meagan Donaldson, mother and stepfather Charlene and Glenn Shaw, her brother Ron Steiner (Iva), sisters Beckie Copeland (John) and Jeanne Budija (Steve) and nieces and nephews. Roxie loved nothing more than spending time with her niece, Courtney (Copeland) Amore, who lovingly supported her throughout her illness. Roxie fought her battle against a rare cancer, thymoma, with unwavering courage and remarkable strength.

Everyone who knew Roxie will remember her love of gardening – her flourishing flower and vegetable beds and the beautiful potted plants that made her front porch so inviting. She also found great joy and peace at the beach, where the sound of the waves and the sight of shore birds always brought her a deep sense of happiness. Roxie was preceded in death by her father, Charles Steiner, and her beloved niece, Cami Copeland. At Roxie's request, a private service for her immediate family will be held, where her loved ones will gather to celebrate her life and cherish her memory.

Roxie's love for animals is well known. In her memory, please consider a donation to Cowley County Humane Society, 7648 222nd Rd, Winfield, KS, 67156. The family extends its sincerest gratitude to the nurses and staff of William Newton Hospital and Dr. Bryan Davis for their compassionate care and support during Roxie's final days.
