Roxanne Marie Simler

Roxanne Marie Simler, of Kamiah, Idaho, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, with her devoted husband by her side at the age of 70.
Roxanne was born on July 8, 1955, to Milton and Barbara (Brooks) King in Bennington, Vermont. At the age of 11, she moved with her family to Kamiah, where she attended elementary and high school, graduating in 1973. During her high school years, she met the love of her life, Dale E. Simler of Woodland, Idaho. The two were married on September 24, 1971, in Woodland.
Together, Roxanne and Dale built a life rooted in family and love. They welcomed their daughter, Stacy Jo, in 1972, followed by their son, Jeffrey Dale, in 1974.
Roxanne was known for her many talents and passions. She was an excellent cook and, for many years, took great joy in making and decorating "fancy" cakes for special occasions, sharing her creativity with friends, family, and the community. She also owned and operated Roxanne's Cards and Gifts in Kamiah for many years, a business that reflected her love for thoughtful details and giving.
She had a well-known fondness for online shopping and could never resist a shirt she loved-especially when it came in multiple colors. Roxanne cherished being surrounded by family and eagerly anticipated family reunions, always arriving with gifts for everyone, no matter the occasion. Giving was one of the many ways she showed her love.
Roxanne was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Barbara King; her brother, Tim King; and her daughter, Stacy Jo Simler.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dale E. Simler; her son, Jeff Simler (Angie); granddaughters Shelby, Ava, Carleigh, Jordy and Regan; and great-granddaughters Harper and Ruthie, all of whom were the light of her life.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 7th, 2026 at 10:30 AM at The Life Center in Kamiah, ID. Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackmer Funeral Home, Grangeville. Send condolences to the family at blackmerfuneralhome.com.
