Roy James Barnett of Tazewell TN, 70 passed away on November 26th, 2025, in Tazewell TN.
James was proceeded in death by his parents Harvey and Jean Barnett and one son James Anthony Barnett.
He is survived by his wife Patricia "Patty" Barnett, brother Roger Barnett of Harrogate TN, sister Geraldean Small of Tazewell TN, daughters Jamie (Gary) Amos of Morristown TN, Melissa Epperson of Harrogate TN, step children Lee Ann (Timothy) Goins of Harrogate TN, Joshua (Letecia ) Knuckles of Corbin KY, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends to morn his passing.
James enjoyed being outdoors, wood working and spending time with family and friends. He was always quick to lend a hand and help those who were in need. James enjoyed being in church and helping put together meal boxes to feed families in the community.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the employees of Claiborne Medical Center and Dr Gregory Cox for the care and support they gave James during the last few weeks of his life.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday November 30th at 4:00 pm at Harrogate Christian Tabernacle Church of God with Bishop Timothy Goins, Rev Dewell Perry and Rev Matthew Goins officiating. Music will be provided by Harrogate Christian Tabernacle and Bethany Goins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Green Hills Funeral Home in memoriam of James Barnett.
