Roy Beel Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Houser-Millard Funeral Directors - Jefferson City on Dec. 19, 2025.
Roy Beel, age 70, of Frankenstein, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Roy was born on October 7, 1955, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, the son of the late George and Gertrude (Eftink) Beel. He was a 1974 graduate of Leopold High School in Leopold, Missouri. In 1974 he was selected as Mr. Varsity at Leopold High School, an honor his family was exceptionally proud of.
On April 1, 1978, Roy was united in marriage to Barbara Frank at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Chaffee, Missouri. They stitched together nearly fifty years of marriage- equal parts devotion, humor, and resilience- while raising four daughters in a home that was never short on love or personality.
Throughout his life, Roy worked as a dairy farmer, in construction, and a turkey farmer. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. He was a third degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and other sports, watching television with the sound off (a well deserved privilege after raising four daughters), and-most of all-spending time with his grandchildren.
Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara "Barb" Beel; his daughters, Melanie (Greg) Peters, Olivia (Keith) Hancock, Emma (Shawn) Tuthill, and Robyn (Shaun) Potts; his brothers, Ray Beel (Sharon) and Kevin Beel (Cindy); his sisters, Glenda Blattel (John) and Sue Stroder (Marty); and his grandchildren, Margaret, Tristan, and Anthony Peters; Stella, Wyatt, and Colton Hancock; Marissa, Noah, Laura, and Henry Tuthill; and Aiden and Adella Potts.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Mae Beel; his father-in-law, Alvin M. Frank; and his brother-in-law, Joe David Frank.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic School. Donations can also be made out to Barb Beel to be donated to the Jefferson City Medical Group-Oncology Patient Support. A cause that meant a lot to Roy. Donations can be mailed to Houser Millard Funeral Directors 2613 West Main Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65109.
Roy will be dearly missed and fondly remembered forever--- GONE FISHING!
A prayer service will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, followed by visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., officiated by Father Colin Franklin, at St. Mary Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Bonnots Mill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 W. Main St.; Jefferson City, MO 65109. (573) 636-3838. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.millardfamilychapels.com
