Roy Blank

Roy Lee Blank, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born on July 21, 1934, in Russellville, Missouri, the son of Ernest Blank and Florence (Kraus) Blank Dowers. Roy was united in marriage to Grace Mary Rackers on October 31, 1959, in Taos, Missouri. They shared a loving life together until her passing on April 10, 2024.
A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Roy was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. He served his country in the United States Army. Following his military service, Roy worked many dedicated years for the State of Missouri and later spent time working part-time with FEMA after retirement.
Roy was a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was active as a 4-H leader while his children were growing up and enjoyed photography, tinkering with small engines, crappie fishing, mushroom hunting, family trips, and mowing grass.
Roy is survived by his son, Rodney Blank (Amy) of LaGrange, Georgia; daughter, Julie Schulte (Steven Walther) of Jefferson City; sisters-in-law, Ruth Coppenbarger, Delphine Prenger, Betty Rackers, Janet Kauffman, Linda Rackers, and Carol Ann Ricks; brothers-in-law, Glenn Rackers, Jerome Reinsch, Orville Stegeman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and step-father; his loving wife, Grace Blank; beloved son, Brian Blank; brother, Glenn Blank; sisters-in-law, Virginia Bias, Jean Rackers, Rose Reinsch, and Linda Stegeman; and brothers-in-law, Norbert Rackers, Harold Rackers, Kent Coppenbarger, Leon Prenger, Ray Kauffman, Leon Rackers, and Dale Ricks.
Friends and family will be received from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2026, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Matthew Flatley as celebrant.
Entombment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
