Barbara Francis (Schepker) Lute, 83 of Jefferson City, MO passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family. Barbara was born September 17, 1942 in Jefferson City, MO to the late Albert Schepker and Edna (Gerhardt) Schepker. She was a graduate of Helias High School and a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.

Barbara was a loving mother to her three children: Lisa Lute (Carol) of Gloucester, VA, Jim Lute (Karen) of Jefferson City, and Chris Lute (Heather) of Jefferson City. She is survived by seven grandchildren, Bryan Lute (Stephannie) of Jefferson City; Lora Labelle (Michael) of New Braunfels, TX; Rebecca Libbert (Dakota) of Jefferson City; Ashley Wilbers (Wade) of Jefferson City, Madison McCann Lute of Gloucester, VA; Brooklynn Lute of Jefferson City, and Noah Lute of Jefferson City. She is also survived by nine Great-Grandchildren, Aleck Lute, Tyler Lute, Paityn Libbert, Triniti Libbert, Josie Libbert, Brynlee Libbert, McKenzie Labelle, MJ Labelle, and Elleigh Labelle, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She also shared a deep and special bond with her nieces, nephews, and many cousins, loving them dearly and taking great joy in being part of their lives

Barbara found joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she embraced it fully, filling her home with every decoration imaginable and creating a magical season her family will always remember. She loved traveling with her family and spending peaceful time bird watching, appreciating the beauty of nature and togetherness. Barbara will be deeply missed, but her love, traditions, and spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.

Barbara was preceded in death by her Brother; Roger Schepker.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Judes Children Hospital or the Susan G. Coleman Foundations

Friends and family will be received from 2:00pm to 4:00pm with a Funeral service to follow at 4:00pm on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at Houser-Millard Funeral Directors with a burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
