Sharon A. Vieth, 70, of Taos, Missouri, passed away February 18, 2026, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia, Missouri surrounded by her family.

She was born on February 10, 1956, in Cole County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Helen (Knaebel) Scheppers. She was a member of the 1974 Graduating class at Jefferson City High School. Sharon then married the love of her life David Vieth on July 6, 1974, in Jefferson City, Missouri. She worked for the Downtown Chiropractic Clinic for five years, Secretary of State Communications division for eight years, and the Cole County Clerks Office (under Bill Deeken) for eight years and a worked along side her husband at David Vieth Plumbing for over 25 years.

Sharon was a dedicated member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and as a past Parish Council member. Her church was an important part of her life, and she found great joy in serving others and sharing her faith.

She was actively involved in her children's and community activities throughout the years. Sharon served as a homeroom mother at St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She also gave her time and energy as a Blair Oaks Room Mother and as a supporter through the Blair Oaks Athletic Booster Club, always cheering on and encouraging students and athletes.

Above all, Sharon cherished time spent with her family and especially her beloved grandchildren and going to the farm with David. She loved attending ball games, going for walks, exercising, and reading. Whether sitting in the stands supporting her loved ones or enjoying a quiet moment with a good book, Sharon embraced life with warmth and gratitude.

Sharon will be remembered for her deep faith, generous spirit, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

She is survived by her husband: David Vieth; three sons and their families: Wesley Vieth and wife Patricia and their children: Madelyn and Mason; Nicholas Vieth and wife Brooke and their children: Olivia, Gavin, and Jordyn, and Joseph Vieth and wife Elizabeth and their children: Lilly, Avery and Carter; brothers and sisters: Larry and wife Paula Scheppers of Jefferson City, Ginny Massman of Linn, Tom and wife Diane Scheppers of Jefferson City, Marian Forck of Wardsville, Franny and husband Butch Schell of Wardsville, Bob Scheppers of Jefferson City and Carol and husband Tom Backes of Jefferson City; mother-in-law: Helen "Sugie" Vieth of Wardsville; three sister-in-laws: Joyce and husband AJ Rackers of Linn, Karen and husband Paul Holterman of Taos and Amy and husband Brad Robinett of Jefferson City and many nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Agnes and husband Henry Weiberg, and Nancy and husband Harold Jaegers; father-in-law: Joe Vieth; brother-in-laws: Gil Massman, Bernie Forck and Ronnie Vieth; and sister-in-law: Julie Scheppers.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Capitol Projects

Friends and family will be received from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Taos Knights of Columbus Hall followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
