To my Father "POPS"
I always truly miss you. I simply wanted to be you. I wanted to be fast like you, smooth like you. Wanted to walk and talk like you. I wanted to box like you, dance like you and always have it like you.
As a kid I had any and everything I ever wanted. Had two rooms, one was just a playroom just for my toys. I received at least five bikes a year. When I was little my Pops spoiled me beyond belief. My father was a renaissance man. He always had a hustle and didn't believe in not having any food in the refrigerator. Always had food, always had a car since 17.
My Pops was the definition of "if there's a will, there's a way". I was blessed to have Pops for 85 years strong,. He gave advice, lessons and examples of what a man should be. I simply try to live up to what he believed i.
Being strong, take care of home and provide for your family.
Love you, Roy L. Jr AKA Tootie
In the Quiet of Your Love In the hush between the morning light, I feel your warmth, still holding tight, Your voice now lives in whispered air, A steady guide, forever there, You taught me strength without a shout, The kind that lifts, when hope runs out. Your laughter lingers, soft and true, A melody the heart still knew. Though time had drawn its final line, Your love remains, a steady sign. And in each step, I'll walk with you In skies of gray, in skies of blue. Rest now, Pops, your work is done, Your light still shines n everyone. or love like yours will never fade, It blooms in all the lives you made. - unknown ' 2025
