Roy L. D'Alessandro, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the age of 85.
Born on October 10, 1938, in Cleburne, Texas, Roy spent most of his life in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, he embarked on a successful career in the insurance business, spanning over six decades. His dedication and achievements led him to become a Lifetime Member of The Million Dollar Roundtable.
Roy was married to his loving wife Carol D'Alessandro for 31 years. Together, they raised five children, Warren "Earl" (Myong Hee) D'Alessandro, Michele (Harold) Wade, Ted (Tiffany) D'Alessandro, Aaron "A.J." D'Alessandro and Isaac D'Alessandro; twelve grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Dale, Seth, Samuel, Garrett, Paige, Camryn, Lucas, Mia, Colton and Jordan; four great-grandchildren, Emerson, Camden, Warren and Emelia; and three brothers, Robert (the late Diane) D'Alessandro, John D'Alessandro and Albert "Cokie" (Jacqueline) D'Alessandro.
In his younger years, Roy excelled at basketball, a sport that remained a lifelong passion. He enjoyed watching basketball and football games with his sons and cherished the time he spent dancing with his wife.
Roy will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-8 p.m. at Beinhauer Funeral Home, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray (724-941-3211). Services will be held on Monday 11 a.m. at The Bible Chapel, 300 Gallery Drive, McMurray, PA (everyone please meet at church).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Youth for Christ Metro Pittsburgh (YFCMP.org).
