Roy Davis

Roy Davis, age 78, of Lebanon TN, passed away on July 4, 2025. The Celebration of Life is 12 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025 at Fellowship Baptist Church (7175 Lebanon Rd), Mt. Juliet TN. The family will be receiving friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service at noon. Roy Lee Davis was born in Nashville TN to Doris Marie Gibbs Davis and Robert Lee Davis, one of nine children. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam until he received an Honorable Discharge. Army values and a love of travel stayed with him throughout his life. He married Glenda Johnson and together they settled in Joelton, TN where they lived with their children for 22 years. After retirement, they moved to Crossville, TN where they spent the next 20 years surrounded by friends, water and golf courses. Finally, they found their forever home in Lebanon, TN where they could be closer to family and friends. Golf was a sport he enjoyed as well as fishing, and he had a knack for collecting, specifically knives and baseball cards. He worked as a Building Inspector for Metro Codes.
Roy is survived by his loving wife and partner of 57 years, Glenda Johnson Davis, children Glen Haston Davis and Royce Ann (Michael) Johnson, eight brothers and sisters, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Doris and Robert Davis and granddaughter Arrayah Ella Johnson.
