He was a charitable man, as he worked with Samaritan's Purse Operation Shoebox and the Noonday Association Food Pantry. The Roy I remember was in the computer science club with me at West Georgia WAY back in the 1970s. He was always smiling and laughing even when he was teased about his very southern accent. Upon graduation we both went to work at AT&T. He moved out to Kansas City where , like the song says, they had some pretty little women and he came back with one. He was SO proud of his family and when we infrequently saw each other, his face would light up as he updated me on his boys. I know he's in heaven talking computers and faith with Bob Ballard, another of our computer geeks from WGC who has passed. Go with God Roy!
