Roy Eberz Obituary
Roy Carl Eberz of Doylestown, PA passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 86 years old. He was born November 21, 1938 in Philadelphia to his loving parents, the late Joseph Anthony and Susan Eberz (Zuhurka).
Roy is survived by his loving and beautiful wife, Jacqueline Eberz (Porr); son, Jason Kostik.
He was predeceased by his daughters Kim Dee "Kimaloosh" and Lorene Peterson "Peanut" and son-in-law Mark Peterson.
Roy proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, Corporal E-4 from January 1957 thru November 1961 with Honorable Discharge.
Roy is also survived by his former son-in-law, James Dee; sisters, Lorraine Tausz and her late husband William, Barbara Eberz and Donna Eberz; sisters-in-law, Jean Hasselbauer and her late husband Robert, Gail Scholl and her husband Richard and Sharon Ann Kline and her husband Randy.
Roy's grandchildren include Samantha Priest (Doug), Michael "Mickaloosh" Peterson (Dianne), Alyssa Dee, Ava Elizabeth "Cupcake" Kostik, Olivia Rose "Sprinkle" Kostik and the late Jamie Marie Dee.
He was blessed with great-grandchildren, Michaela, Luke, and Josephina Samantha "Sweetie Pie"; cousins, Mary Lou Pojeta, Michael McNally (Monica), Maryanne Smart (James) and many loving nieces and nephews and special friends.
His family was so important to him, and he was always a truly loyal friend, honest and caring.
Roy was a devout Catholic and his belief in Jesus was very strong and important to him.
Over the years Roy liked to perform Magic for his grandchildren by pulling quarters from their ears or pulling a lollipop from his shirt. He later started having 'Visions' for grandchildren, nieces and nephews. To receive your 'Vision' (a gift) you had to rub his head and he would give you clues to find your prize.
A favorite place to have lunch or dinner was Giovanni's where he was treated like a King with his cup ready for him. For many years Roy would meet his classmates for breakfast every Thursday, these were lifelong friends since grade school.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 7th from 9:30am-10:30am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA. 18901. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Interment will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown with military honors. Luncheon to follow.
