Roy Englebert Obituary
After graduating from Algoma High School in 1956, Roy earned a bachelor's degree in agriculture education and chemistry from the University of Wisconsin at River Falls. Right after college, he was hired by International Harvester (which later became Case IH). During his career, he worked in numerous management positions around the country and continued to do national farm shows on the road for Case IH during his retirement.
When Roy retired in 1996, he and Joyce returned to Forestville and settled back on the family farm. He loved taking care of the farm, mowing the lawn, working in the garden and working on numerous IH tractors. He also enjoyed some time hunting.
Roy was very active in the community during his retirement. He served as Town Supervisor in 2011 and became Town of Forestville Chairman from 2013 to 2023. He was elected to the Door County Board and served District 3 from 2012 to 2025. For many years, Roy was a member of Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood where he served on the church council and sang in the choir. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus (a fourth-degree knight) and the Forestville-Maplewood Lions Club where he was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship.
He is survived by his wife Joyce, two children, Christopher (Jamie) Englebert and Suzanne Englebert; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Allen and several siblings.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday. Dec. 2, 2025, at Holy Name of Mary Church in Maplewood. Friends may call at the Forbes Funeral Home on Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Name of Mary Church for the upcoming renovation project.

MY SYMPATHIES TO JOYCE AND THE FAMILY. I KNOW ROY ENJOYED HIS RETIREMENT. HE LIKED TO BE BUSY AND TO BE WITH PEOPLE.
SORRY, WE DIDN'T GET TOGETHER AND GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER. YOUR FAMILY WILL KEEP YOU FROM BEING LONELY.
MY YOUNGEST SON HAS MOVED IN AND WHAT A BLESSING. WE DON'T THINK WE'RE GETTING OLDER BUT I CAN'T DO WHAT I USED TO!!
