Roy Phillip "Phil" Everett, Sr., 91, passed away quietly at home in Mena, Arkansas with family and loved ones by his side on January 28th, 2026. Phil was born on October 25, 1934, in Marshall, Texas. After a short stent at the Borden Milk Factory in Marshall, he went into business with his father and brother under Roy Everett & Sons and had many ventures including: a dairy, cattle and hay farms, a semi-truck dealership, laundries, grocery stores, a feed store, and a gas station before moving to his home in Mena where he opened Superior Gun Company and Ouachita Wholesale Pottery. He loved wildlife and forests of the Mena area, especially the Shady community where he lived for many years before moving into town near his final years. Phil was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, friend and neighbor, and had many people that loved and cared for him. He lived a full life dedicated to his family and the community. He loved animals and all the pets that he took great care of and cherished over the years. Phil was a joy to be around for all that knew him.

Phil is survived by his first wife Lavada Thompson and his loving children; daughters Phylann Horan, Lesli Coleman Richardson, Lori Everett Peek, and sons Carl Everett and Roy Phillip "Bubba" Everett, Jr. He was also the proud Grandfather of many Grandchildren; Taylor Coco, Lynsey Hagan, Stephanie Bloodworth, Amie Brace, Noah Coleman, Paige Everett, Jaci Adams, Trevor Everett, Travis Everett, and Cade Everett. And the Great Grandfather of; Easton and Jaxon Coco, Kaleb Murphy, Kayann Hagan, Wyatt Hagan, and Harlow Everett. He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Mozelle Everett, his brother Kenneth Everett and his wife Edna and their daughter Claire Everett Soap, and his second wife Dianne Turner.

A private gathering will be held in Mena to honor Phil, and the family asks for prayers during this period of mourning.
