Glen Vaughn Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bowser Family Funeral Home - Broken Bow on Feb. 4, 2026.
Glen David Vaughn, age 60, of Hartshorn, Oklahoma, died Monday, February 2, 2026, at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was born on Saturday, July 17, 1965, to Leo Donald and Dottie Mae Kellet Vaughn in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Glen was a man who loved God, his family, and his country with his whole heart. A faithful believer, he attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Hartshorne, Oklahoma, and previously worshiped at Hatfield Baptist Church, where his faith was an important and guiding part of his life.

Family was truly Glen's world. He cherished every moment spent with his wife, Penny. Whether gathered together or enjoying simple moments, his love for his family was evident in all he did.

Glen proudly served his country in the United States Army for five years before receiving an honorable discharge. He was also a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association, where he supported and served in leadership within his local chapter, reflecting his strong beliefs and dedication.

For more than 30 years, Glen raised chickens for Tyson Foods, working hard to provide for his family until his well-earned retirement. He will be remembered for his faith, his devotion to family, his patriotism, and the steady, dependable life he lived. His legacy of love and service will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him.

Glen is preceded in death by his father and his beloved son, Josh Vaughn.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 40 years, Penny Vaughn of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; his mother, Dottie Vaughn of Midway, Arkansas; his brother, Ronnie and Norma Vaughn of Cove and their sons, Kyle and Kody Vaughn; sisters in laws, Peggy Lindsey of Antlers, Oklahoma and Gina and Tom Safford of Antlers, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Cove, Arkansas with Brother Clint Pope officiating. No visitation is planned and arrangements are entrusted to Bowser Family Funeral Home Chapel in Mena, Arkansas.
