Roy E. "Butch" Foster, 59, Savannah, Missouri, formerly of St. Joseph, Missouri, passed away Monday, October 6, 2025.

He was born October 20, 1965 in St. Joseph and grew up there.

A devoted father and grandfather, Butch loved life and lived it to the fullest that he could. He loved fishing, spending time with his close-knit family, and eating Mexican food. He also loved music and was known to have a speaker with him often.

Sports were a big part of Butch's life. In his early years, he loved pitching for his youth baseball team and later he coached his daughter's basketball and softball teams. He was a huge fan of the Royals, Chiefs and Mizzou.

A sociable, talkative man with a great sense of humor who never knew a stranger, Butch set an example for his family of generosity and making sure no one went without. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Foster; siblings, Tamara Mobley and Christopher Foster; and his best friends, Ed Cary, George Holmes, and Bill Stokes.
