Thomas E. "Tom" Moyers, 80, Mound City, Missouri, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2025.

He was born November 23, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Tee and Lelia (Taylor) Moyers.

Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 0217.

On October 19, 2021, Tom married Phyllis Pierce. She preceded him in death on September 2, 2025.

He worked on a farm in the Mound City area for many years, then was a mechanic at the Squaw Creek Truck Stop for years before opening his own repair shop. Later he worked as a cook at the Sac & Fox Casino in Kansas before retirement.

Tom enjoyed watching Westerns, especially "Gunsmoke," and birdwatching with Phyllis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis; his parents; daughter, Dorothy Pulliam; grandson, Eric Timothy; and siblings, Mable Roberts, Virginia Collins, Carl Moyers, Don Moyers, Ron Moyers, and Junior Moyers.

Survivors include children, Jeff Moyers (Lori Nation), Clinton Moyers, Dona Phillips (Jerry), Wanda Schultz (Mike), Earl Pulliam, Terry Pulliam (Kellie), Anita Ezzell (Mintry), Kenny Pulliam (Mindy), Jo Ann Swindler (Larry), and Rose Timothy (Ron); numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Farewell Services and Public Livestream 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 13, New Life Apostolic Assembly, Mound City. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Mound City Nutrition Site. Online guest book and obituary at www.meierhoffer.com.
