Born on June 22, 1945, in Holly, Michigan, Roy was the son of the late Cecil and Virginia Gordon.
A proud graduate of Holly High School, Roy started his working life on the family farm. In his early years, he was passionate about muscle cars, owning several throughout the 1960s and 70s. Following his marriage, he spent most of his career in manufacturing, and later enjoyed his time driving truck before ultimately retiring. Roy was a true outdoorsman, passionate about deer hunting, rabbit hunting, fishing, and shooting sports.
Roy was preceded in death by his former wife, Jeanette, and his brother, Larry Gordon.
He is survived by his sister, Linda (Steve) Walter; his loving children: Debbie, Andy (Lynn), Bill (Rebecca), and Chuck. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Mariah, Jared, and Jordan.
Funeral service will be held Friday, October 24, 2025 at 1 PM at Dryer Funeral Home 101 First St., Holly, MI with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Holly. Family will greet visitors from 11AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed in memory of Roy Gordon to Oakland County Sportsmen's Club 4770 Waterford Rd., Clarkston, MI 48346.
