Roy W. Lasater, 99, of Findlay, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, August 18, 2025, at The Heritage Estates. Roy was born on September 25, 1925 to Rev. Webster C. and Grace (Reintsma) Lasater in Reed Point, Montana. He married Bonnie Dell Scott on June 30, 1947 and she preceded him in death in 2017.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Lasater of Findlay; two daughters, Shirley (Doug) Harrold of Mt. Blanchard, and June Johnson of Oak Harbor; one daughter-in-law, Ann Lasater of Van Buren; nine grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren, Preceding him in death were his parents, one son, Donald Richard "Rick" Lasater, who passed on March 11, 2014, a daughter-in-law, Marsha Lasater, who passed away on October 28, 2024, and sisters, Marie Anderson, and Ruth D'Arcy.
Roy retired from Marathon Oil Company as an analyst in Production Accounting for 33 years. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and hunting He was a member of St. Paul's Church, the R.D. Cole Post #3 American Legion, and a volunteer at the Blanchard Valley Hospital for many years. He served our country during WW II in the United States Navy serving on a Navy supply ship.
Roy's life can be characterized by 1 Corinthians 13: 4-13 Love is patient, love is kind.
A graveside service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery on Friday, August 22, 2025 at 1 pm with Pastor Scott Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery of Findlay. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Church, or to the Chopin House, Findlay. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.coldrencrates.com. The COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay is assisting the family with arrangements.
