Roy Lewis Masters, 91, a lifelong resident Houma, LA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 17, 2023.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Chauvin Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until a Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m.
Roy is survived by his loving wife, Maureen Masters; daughter, Debra Lapeyrouse (Bubba); grandchildren, Jessica Lapeyrouse Guidry (Kevin), Sylvia, Maximillian, Leslie, Raquel, and Roman Masters; great-grandchildren, Austin and Elizabeth Guidry; and daughter-in-law, Rachel Masters.
He was preceded in passing by his parents, Jewel and Dovie Masters; son, Kimble Masters; and brothers, Jimmy and Bob Masters.
Roy was a respected member of the community, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, dedication, and cherished memories.
One of Roy's greatest pleasures in life was spending time with his grandchildren. Whether he was sharing stories of his youth, teaching them life lessons, or simply showering them with affection, his love for them was boundless. They will forever carry his memory in their hearts as a beacon of love, wisdom, and unwavering support.
May his kind and compassionate soul rest peacefully, knowing that his love and legacy will continue to inspire and guide us.
