Roy Mattson Obituary
HERMITAGE-Mr. Roy Melvin Mattson of Hermitage, PA Thursday February 26, 2026. He was 81 years old. Roy was a happy and caring person who will be greatly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and neighbors.
Mr. Mattson was born February 06, 1945 in Sharon, Pennsylvania to Lily E and Thore A Mattson.
He was a 1963 graduate of Hickory High School. Mr. Mattson worked at Packard Electric in Warren, Ohio until his retirement in 1996. He volunteered at Meals on Wheels for over 20 years. Roy was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Hermitage.
Roy is survived by a sister-in-law, Suzann Mattson, 6 nieces and nephews and 8 great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 3 brothers, Robert, Carl, and Bernard Mattson.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to Noon. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Sample-O'Donnell Funeral Home, 555 East State Street, Sharon, PA. A memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shenango Valley Meals on Wheels, Hermitage, PA.
