Roy Lee Monroe, age 66 of White Hall passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at his residence. He was born September 22, 1957 in White Hall, the son of Delbert and Dorothy Pollard. He married Diana Snyder on July 25, 1981 in Hillview and she survives.
He is also survived by his children, Will (Sarah) Monroe of White Hall, Melinda Kleinschmidt of White Hall, and Rebecca Monroe of Lakeland, FL, three grandchildren, Lane and Alexis Monroe; Weston Kleinschmidt, a sister, Della Monroe of White Hall, two brothers, Dale (Brenda) Monroe and Tim Monroe both of White Hall and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Ronnie Monroe.
Roy worked as a truck driver for FS, Bruce Snyder, Brown's Trucking, Killebrew Trucking, Wayne Murphy, Arnett Farms and several other people over the years. He enjoyed coaching Pee Wee football, helping annually with the Tree of Joy Project, farming, trucking, fishing, and watching the river at Pearl. He was often referred to as the Mayor of Pearl Landing. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday September 23, 2024 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial to follow in Pine Tree Cemetery in Patterson. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com. Memorials may be made to Tree of Joy.
