Roy Michael Moore

Roy Michael Moore, 76, of Lima, passed away peacefully on 2/14/2026, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on 2/22/1949 in Covington, KY. Roy was the son of the late Roy Clinton Moore and Ruth Lee Moore. He grew up in Lima and graduated from Lima Senior High School before going into military service with the Army.

He found joy playing softball, throwing darts, pitching horseshoes, and having a good time. He was a man who valued simple pleasures, good conversation, and time spent with those he loved.

He was a proud father to Diana and David and a loving grandfather to his 5 grandchildren. He cherished family gatherings, holidays, and the opportunity to pass along stories, wisdom, and laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, David. He is survived by his daughter, Diana Houpe (Larry), grandkids, Jordan, David, Hunter, Dallas and Caiden; sister, Barbara Ridenhour (Larry), nephews, Scott, Mark, and Craig.

Roy will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the love he gave so freely. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
