Roy Lee Odom, born on September 30, 1948, departed this life on October 27, 2025. Throughout his journey, Roy became renowned for his exceptional character and vibrant spirit. He was celebrated as the "King of his Sport," a title that epitomized not only his expertise as a golfer but also his remarkable success in all endeavors he undertook.

Roy will be remembered as a loving husband to his wife of 56 years, Becky Odom. Together they built a beautiful family that includes their daughters, Terina Gantt (Eddie) and Brandie Taylor, as well as his cherished granddaughter, Sweet Carson Taylor, and grandsons, Jackson Gantt and Joseph Gantt. His family mattered most to him, and he was proud to be the best Husband, Daddy, and Granddaddy one could hope for. His generosity was profound yet understated, making a significant impact on everyone who crossed his path.

He is survived by Judy Sherer and Kandie Sherer, his sisters-in-love, along with a host of other family members and dear friends whose lives he touched deeply. Roy's genuine warmth, coupled with his unwavering support, endeared him to many.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Mary Odom; his sister, Shirley Ingram; brother, Jerry Wayne Odom; niece, April Livingston; and nephew, Dwight "Billy" Livingston. Additionally, he was predeceased by his father-in-law, Harold "Pawpaw" Sherer, mother-in-law, Jimmie "Nonnie" Sherer, brother-in-law, Paul Sherer, and son-in-love, Rick Taylor.

Roy Lee Odom lived life on his own terms, always with integrity and kindness, and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
