Christeen Baker

Christeen Sanders Baker, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on October 26, 2025, at the age of 76. Born on August 19, 1949, Christeen led a life filled with love, creativity, and devotion to her family and faith.
Christeen was a dedicated member of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, where her warm spirit and kindness touched the lives of many. She had a creative soul and found joy in crafting and sewing. Her passion for baking and cooking brought comfort and happiness not just to her family to all who were fortunate enough to enjoy her culinary creations.
Christeen is preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Lois Sanders (Granny), and 5 loving brothers, Robert, Connie, Paul, Junior, and Kenneth Sanders.
She was a devoted and loving mother to her four sons, Keith (Christine) Pike, Kevin Pike, Kent (Andrea) Pike, and Michael Pike. Christeen took immense pride in her family, raising her children with love and care.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Nicole Plowman, Taylor Pike, Logan Stidman, Jonathan Pike, and Dylan Pike, each of whom carry a piece of her heart. As a great-grandmother, she delighted in the joy of Tegan Plowman, Harlow Plowman, Jacob Stidman, and Loni-James Stidman, creating cherished memories with them.
Christeen is survived by her brothers, Jimmy and Johnny Sanders, who have shared many cherished moments with her throughout their lives.
She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the love she gave and the countless lives she impacted.
The family of Christeen would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of Hospice of West Alabama for their compassion and assistance during this difficult time.
A celebration of Christeen's life will be held November 12,2025 beginning at 1:00pm at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
